Players
Profiles |
| Lyn
Kent |
Goalkeeper
known for great saves and roll ups. Used to enjoy watching a good game of
hockey, but has had to become more involved in the game since Faversham
have been in Division 4!! Liverpool fan - what impeccable taste! |
| Sara
Griffiths |
Left
back of great renown. Has been playing for Faversham for ever, but not
quite as long as Mrs Mack. Never played as part of a 'flat' back four!
Also known as 'Cilla' for her very successful
matchmaking efforts. Current 'Player of the Year'. |
| Susie
Keeling |
Right
back who hit a huge milestone in her life (50 in July). She of
the wild hair but not wild tackles - exquisitely timed in fact!
Supports Chelski - ah well, nobody's perfect! |
| Linda
Macklin |
Mrs
Mack - right half and most loyal Faversham servant of many, many, many
years. Chief orange supplier, rude joke supplier and club historian. |
| Karen
Page |
Pagey
- Centre half and short corner 'specialist' (mind the tree!). All round
top defender but no memory of times, dates etc whatsoever! |
| Alison
Sheather |
Left
half but more importantly webmaster and hockey midfield fashion icon (ask
Pagey and Mrs Mack!) Staunch Liverpool fan and fantasy football statto
supreme. |
| Liz
Mears |
Moley,
Forest, Hustler to name but a few! Right winger, recently married - see Cilla!!!
Scorer of great goals from way outside the D, not quite so many legitimate
ones, although rumours of a drunken wager with the skipper exist. |
| Sheila
Enfield |
Foxy
- of the right inner position. Retired - from work but thankfully
not hockey. Spends all of her free time getting fitter and fitter and
making a mint on e-Bay in order to buy flashy gadgets. Chief tissue
supplier to the team. Oh, and she's also 50! |
| Clare
Smithson |
Skipper
and goal machine centre forward. Chief organiser, loo roll supplier and
journo hack. Crystal Palace season ticket holder and wife of FLHC
supporters club aka Junior. |
| Jackie
Lucas |
Usually
found somewhere on the left, but not always in the circle! New team photo
required to show the new super slimline Jackie. Formerly known all over town as
'Miss' but has now become Mrs! |
| Carole
Morris |
Affectionately
known as 'Johnny'. Our nippy left winger has branched out into panto
(trying hard not to get typecast as a fairy) and marathon running -
she now has her own web space! |
| Bev
Warrener |
The
Wanderer - another of the originals, playing since her teens. Missed a lot
of last season through injury, but will hopefully return soon, when we
will be micro chipping her, to keep track of her location on the pitch! |
| Jo
Parsons |
Toon
fan! No further comment necessary. Pops up all over the place, usually
wearing a toon hat! Has been known to become argumentative when clattered
by her opponent, but generally very nice, apart from the Toon thing! |
| Nichola
Marples |
Will
play anywhere and everywhere, although if there's any dog poo on the
pitch, she may take a dive! |
| Sally
Scott |
As
above, apart from the diving bit. Plays in a rather extravagant pair of
blue boots, which she is desperately eager to get dirty and never clean. |
| Lisa
Chapman |
Prolific
forward poached from Canterbury during the closed season for an
undisclosed fee, thought to be a considerable number of air miles!! Many
nicknames - Chappie, Montoya and some unmentionable ones to do with
crustaceans! |
| Rachel
Griffiths |
Aka
"Squirty". Baby of the team (by more than a decade!) and real
life baby of left back Sara. Rapidly improving right winger who just loves
getting out of bed on a Saturday (in typical teenage fashion!). Part time
vegitarian! |
| Carla
Gauden |
Honorary
member, former goalkeeper and instigator of the Fat Cat Stats, pictured
prior to her retirement. |
| David
Oxlade |
Umpire
and loyal servant to the Ladies - steady!! |
